Cleo

Cleo was born December 7, 1983. She was purchased from a smuggler in Zambia and brought to Chimfunshi when her owners found they could not cope with her anymore. She arrived healthy and integrated well with the other chimps.

Cleo is mom to two sons and two daughters: Cooney, born July 25, 1994, Colin born October 5, 1998, Careen born January 5, 2001 and Chrissie born December 14, 2006. Cleo is also a grandmother to Carle born to her daughter Careen.

Cleo loves food! When she began escaping from her enclosure she could always be found at the nearest food store immensely enjoying what she found! She is one of the top escape artists. She is very smart and can solve complicated puzzles.
